Brittany Vale
Of the Field Team
Role:
Lead Investor – Corporate Liaison for Veritas Minerals
Connection to Red McCrae:
Officially? None.
Unofficially? She knows Red blacklisted the Vale family name from every union document after the 1965 collapse. But she also knows Red met with someone using her family’s legacy login just days before his death.
Red once said during a public safety review,
“No amount of money can unseal what the Vales buried.”
She never forgot that.
Now, she’s here to find out what he meant.
Personality:
Poised, persuasive, and always in control — or pretending to be. Brittany carries herself like a woman who owns the room. But beneath the surface is someone terrified of losing control — of herself, her company, or her legacy.
Background:
Brittany is the great-granddaughter of Jonathan Vale, one of the original investors who funded the Black Hollow expansion in 1965. Her family has always denied involvement in the disaster. But sealed documents recently came to light, and Veritas brought Brittany in to “restore public trust.”
Instead, she found evidence of a second vault.
And a list of initials — hers included.
Character Goal:
Determine how deep her family’s involvement goes.
If the truth threatens her legacy — bury it.
If it threatens lives — maybe expose it.
Tasks – Track your own points
🎭 Social Tasks (1 pt each)
Say these lines in-character, in quiet confidence or cold menace:
To Nelson McTavish: “You’re not the only one who’s heard the mine speak. You’re just the only one who admits it.”
To Kaleb Sutter: “Blackouts are funny. They never last… but sometimes they leave something behind.”
To Reggie Tomlin: “The Overseer file wasn’t meant for your eyes. Or mine.”
🤝 Interaction Task (2 pt)
Task: Confide in Someone
Tell someone a half-truth about your family’s history:
“My great-grandfather helped seal the original vault.”
“There’s a second shaft. The company buried it.”
“Red threatened to leak something. I think my name was in it.”
🔥 Suspicious Task (2 pt)
Task: Defend a Suspicious Character Without Prompt
Defend Felix, Charlie, or Genevieve unprompted — before anyone accuses them. Bonus if you do it confidently in a group setting.
🕵️ Assigned Personal Questions (Answer if asked, don’t volunteer)
From Reggie Tomlin: “Why does your family name show up in the 1965 logs?”
From Asher Lemay: “What was in the Overseer Access file?”
From Gabe Porter: “Did you know about the vault before any of us?”
You may lie. Or tell the truth in a way that sounds like a threat.
🎯 Bonus Objective (6 pt)
Intercept any evidence that connects your family to the original vault.
If someone shares it — dismiss it. If they ask you about it — demand it back.
Bonus if you destroy the clue before anyone else copies it.
