Emma Sinclair
Of the Field Team
Role:
Field Safety Lead – Incident Response & Personnel Logs
Connection to Red McCrae:
Emma and Red had tension — the good kind. Red respected her bluntness, her ability to keep people alive. He once told her:
“You don’t follow rules. You enforce them. That’s rarer than gold down here.”
He used to joke she’d run the mine someday. Then she found the log sheet with her name on a shift she doesn't remember.
And now Red’s dead.
Personality:
Loud, confident, loyal to a fault. Emma's the type who gets things done even if she has to yell over everyone to do it. She seems fearless — until someone mentions memory loss, or her file disappearing, or the fact she’s not on the shift roster the night of the murder… even though she remembers being there.
Background:
Emma was the last person to approve a walk-through of Shaft 13C before the incident. The strange part? Her signature’s missing from the logs.
And her boots were dirty the next morning.
She remembers sealing the vault.
But no one else remembers her being down there.
And one person swears they saw her leave from the wrong direction.
She laughed it off at first.
But then she found a photo — from drone footage — of her silhouette. Standing in the shaft.
Looking straight at the camera.
Timestamped 3 hours before she thinks she got there.
Character Goal:
Figure out what she forgot. Who erased it. And whether remembering is worth the price.
Tasks – Track your own points
🎭 Social Tasks (1 pt each)
Say these lines in-character, with humor, dread, or forced confidence:
To Kaleb Sutter: “You said I was in the shaft... but I was never there, right?”
To Jonah Briggs: “If I don’t remember filing that report — did I even write it?”
To Reggie Tomlin: “You keep calling me a ‘ghost signature.’ That mean something?”
🤝 Interaction Task (2 pt)
Task: Form a 3-Person Team to “Scan the Shaft”
Lead two others on a fake or real search. Pick the zone. Say you’re “reconstructing events.”
Bonus if you find something… that you didn’t remember was there.
🔥 Suspicious Task (2 pt)
Task: Defend a Suspicious Character Without Prompt
Pick someone others distrust — Felix, Charlie, or Brittany — and say something like:
“They couldn’t have done it. I was with them. I remember that.”
Even if you don’t.
🕵️ Assigned Personal Questions (Answer if asked, don’t volunteer)
From Jonah Briggs: “What was your last conversation with Red really about?”
From Kaleb Sutter: “You don’t remember filing that medical report, do you?”
From Gabe Porter: “Do you think the mine erased your memory?”
Answer how you like. Terrified. Defiant. Convincing — or very much not.
🎯 Bonus Objective (6 pt)
Convince someone else they’re misremembering.
Pick a real event and say they weren’t there. They’re confused. You’re sure.
Bonus if they start to doubt their own memory.
